My Workout music

Before a workout or when I need to be focused for something, I listen to very uplifting music. :) Lately I have been on a M.O.D. (method of destruction) S.O.D. (stormtroopers of death) kick. Here are a few of my favorites;

Pre Menstral Princess Blues
No Glove No Love
Minute Of Courage
March of The S.O.D. (First 2 minute death metal riff)
Celtic Frosted Flakes

Tha should be enough to anger you and propel you through any workout as well as any situation you need to be readily focused for.

Happy music:nopity:

Thrash or be Thrashed by M.O.D.
Damaged by M.O.D.

This is all I need today. I am closing in on the outer rims of sanity which basically means I have listened to this long enough and its time for legs. :)

I don't listen to tunes while I workout, but when I had a hoem gym I cranked Slayer. Always got me pumped.

Kashmir by Led Zeppelin. Once I got that riff in my head it never left. Damn that shit is good. I have a solid copy of their first Physcial Graffitti recording. Sick shit.

Marine Corps Marching song in Full Metal Jacket. The Drill Sergeants voice rips through me like a steel blade. Awesome! A 20 second clip that keeps on giving.

SOD is great! MOD, on the other hand, are lame.

Download the Entombed cover of 'March of the SOD' ... it fuckin RIPS. Its detuned so its even heavier, the production is way better than the original and his voice sounds almost the same.

I like you a little more every day, Bullit. :)

Ever tune into Bassdrive.com's shoutcast station? They have some sweet nightly jungle shows - Wednesday's ChiTownUnderground is my favorite.

today's Pre-gym car ride music

James Taylor - Fire & Rain

I had a friend pass away some years back. For some reason I still get the chills when I play it. It reminds me that I should be thankfull for my life. I keep that in my mind while I am pumping out reps bc I know my brother upstairs would be happy for me. :)

RIP

I rarely listen to netcasts, especially at night. Most of my music-time is at work and working out.
Do they have any good daytime shows?

Did you get that cover yet??????

Not really. There's some folks from the UK and Netherlands who spin during the day regularly, but the quality is terrible for some reason. I mean that in both track selection and kbps.

Overfiend is dropping MOAB-sized bass right now. Love love love that dark techstep.

Haha.. i used the term 'jungle' in my prior post cuz I didnt think you would know what 'techstep' was... but HELL YEAH!!!

The darker, more evil the better. The dark techstep is the king of all D&B.

lol.... download any of those songs Ceebs listed.
Doubt you'll like it tho.
Do you know what Jungle is?

About that Entombed cover... its rare so you'll have to check for it a few times. BUT GET IT!!! You'll like it.

I don't know "jungle" by name but I have been around the world :) Something is telling me that I have heard whatever it is somewhere along the lines.

0-2 on the Entombed cover. I'll keep trying though. Do you have AIM? Can you send me the file? If yes, PM me and I would be glad to give you my AIM name.

Ashanti - "Foolish" (DJ Enemy white label remix)

Funny how a great remix can make you love the lamest of songs.

Faith in Chaos - "Prison Sex" cover

Faith in Chaos - "Possession" (kemal & rob data mix) is fookin great.

Ill be looking for "Prison Sex" when my net gets hooked up.

No kidding, it's my anthem right now. Look up the Dylan & Loxy remix, if you can - it's not as dark as the Kemal & Rob Data mix, kind of mathematical and higher-BPM instead. Still angry, though. Lots of snare.

Her "Prison Sex" cover may be dubplate only. I have it as part of a 250 MB DJ set, and breakbeatscience.com doesn't have it in stock yet. Do you know of any other places online to buy d&b?

Clutch
Mindless Self Indulgence
Soulfly

Primer 55
and developing a taste for Lo Fidelity Allstars for some reason.
;)

mudvayne - under my skin

godsmack - stand alone
if that doesnt get ya.. there is somthing wrong

Raiden - "Fallin'" and Evanescence - "Bring Me to Life".

Although not a workout song per se, too ballad-y and Tori Amos-y, Evanescence's "Forgive Me" really strikes a chord with me right now. These are the lyrics:

Can you forgive me again?
I don't know what I said
But I didn't mean to hurt you

I heard the words come out
I felt like I would die
It hurt so much to hurt you

Then you look at me
You're not shouting anymore
You're silently broken
I'd give anything now
to hear those words from you

Each time I say something I regret I cry "I don't want to lose you."
But somehow I know that you will never leave me, yeah.
'Cause you were made for me
Somehow I'll make you see
How happy you make me

I can't live this life
Without you by my side
I need you to survive
So stay with me
You look in my eyes and I'm screaming inside that I'm sorry.

And you forgive me again
You're my one true friend
And I never meant to hurt you...

PvD - Live set at Mayday 2002
Ferry Corsten - Punk
Paul van Dyk - nothing but you
Cass & Slide - Perception
Paul Oakenfold - Ready, Steady, Go
BT - hip hop phenomena

Very nice.

If you like that track, you'll love their "Cosmic Energy/Fighting Without Fighting/Fatal Error" EP.

Got those, plus "Between the Sun and Jupiter", "Colors", "Euphoria", "Hybrid", "Insanity", "Lubak", "Purple Smoke", "Stalker", "Suicide", "Total Confusion", and "Trolls". All I need is "Electronic Funk" and "Vacuum", and I'll have just about their whole catalogue.

Thanks for the heads up, though. (And if you see me on Kazaa, feel free to leech.)

Thanks for the Kazaa offer.

my mp3 player's currently loaded up with BSE, tech itch, gridlok, konflict etc. Darker the better but metal definitely works too.

and a bunch of old breakbeat hardcore for bouncing thru those mindnumbing cardio sessions :)
