Not to go into too much detail but here is my story in a nutshell... After feeling really lethargic for a while and a few other symptoms, I went to my Doc to have blood work. It confirmed what I had suspected - low testosterone. My Test levels were 248.
I am in my very early 30's, been working out for 15 years. When I started I weighed about 280lbs at 5'9 “and a half”.... Below average strength. Over the years I worked that into 225lb with a 33 inch waste, 20 something inch bi’s, etc... - all natural.
To say the least, my weight has ALWAYS been a problem. To get it under control takes a massive effort. I have gone up and down quite a few times. The last up was not followed by a down. I just didn’t have it in me. I still lift, but am completely spent after not much time.
I still bench around, at least mid 400's, can rep 225 30 times, dumbbell rows with 180's, etc, but just hit a stone cold wall halfway thru. I knew something was wrong, and that is why I went to have blood work.
My Doc told me I was definitely a candidate for HRT, but really had no explanation on why my levels dropped. Of course my insurance will not cover ANY type of testosterone treatment. I was told that levels these low lead to lots of problems, so I decided to research my own treatment.
That is where I found this site, and found it extremely helpful. I decided on Test En. I was able to score some form a UGL “Gold Star Lab...”. Any comments? It is 300mgs. I was advised that I would feel better with 1cc a week after roughly 2 weeks. I decided on 1.5cc a week, to give me a little more of a jumpstart with some of this extra weight.
I am 3 weeks into this and the sides are way more pronounced then the benefits. My nipple’s are sore and my face is a little puffy and is oily as hell. Also the injections are much more sore then I was led on to believe - but (no pun intended) I can handle that.
I was told that at 300mgs, Ancillaries would be unecessay. Well at 450mg, they must be necessary. After reading these forums I decided to go with AIFM, and it should be here shortly.
Is there anything else I should consider or anything else I should be doing different? ANY input, suggestions, questions, advice is appreciated!
Thanks guys!.
PS - my weight is about 265 right now. Certainly not lean, but not soft.
