I was wondering if you lovely ladies had some exsperience with anavar. See, I was thinking about getting some for my girl, she's wanting a little extra help...What dosage and for how long you all think she should run it...first time to use anything...thank you all for the help :)

Hi outlaw -

Well, any response here is going to start with -- what is your g/f interested in accomplishing? What is her current diet & training regimen? How long training? Also her stats? Can you post that or get her to come on the boards & post this? I'd also recommend you read the sticky at the top of this board - there are some good links in there for cycling.

The general idea is that women shouldn't take AAS use lightly. They really need to understand what the results & sides are. And the really big thing to understand is that steroids aren't a quickie magic pill to "tone up" or "lose weight". Before any controlled substances are considered, her diet & training need to be consistent and well-established already. As with anyone who comes on the boards, we want to not just skim past the diet because that is the all-important component of a healthy lifestyle & most diets can be tweaked at least some to get better results before ever entering the "Dark Side" of steroid use.

well, she is interested in to be a little bit more tone and defined...As far as diet I'm a personal trainer and she works out usually with me and follows a pretty clean diet as I do now, she cheats a little bit more than I but, we plan to get real strict this coming feb. before summer...I believe her stats are 5'3 125lbs but,I 'll fiind out for sure but I think thats what it is. W e weigh often at the gym...I know its not magic it's just I was planning on getting some for myself and will have bit left over and she read a profile and thought she might get some use at of it...She not really of big fan of AS use but because of its mild sides she's game. But I just trying to do some research to fully understand and have her see for her understand if she thinks she really needs or wants to try.

I did it for about six weeks...it made me ravenously hungry, to the point of throwing up in the morning if I didn't eat right before bed. I don't think I gained any lean muscle mass that I wouldn't have gained anyway with the training/diet I was doing/following. I wouldn't bother with it, if I were her.

Var is typically mild, but the sides can be just as serious as any other AAS. You never know what will happen until you take it. Var is STILL an AAS and can cause serious sides.

As for weighing often at the gym - that is pointless. Weight is just gravities pull on the body. It is meaningless without a BODYFAT % to add to it.

Weight can be particularly deceptive when you add muscle (which is what Var will help do - with a good diet). The scale will read heavier. Stop weighing so much and start BF testing every 4-6 weeks.

There is also no such word as "tone". Muscle is muscle. :)

I was just stating stats on weighs not saying that its a factor I know BF% is what matters because I'm 5'9 and 200lbs but my BF% is 7-8% so for my hieght compared to a doctor's scale I'm far overweight but I'm not very fat in apperance. Daisy I'll tell tan and TONE about the word:)but thanks for your advice .I'll have her look at this maybe she can word it better just trying to help my baby but, I think she's beautiful the ways she is.
