My fina filtering invention

OK, maybe someone has thought of this before, but regardless I feel very proud and figure I should post it for those with a short temper like myself.

I don't know about the rest of you, but sometimes filtering 100ml's of fina can be very frustrating and enough to throw your bp through the roof. Nothing worse than having to exert total effort to push the oil through the damn filter to the point where sometimes you get splashback where you push too hard and oil is forced through the plunger. I HATE THAT! My fingers get red and painful from all the pressure exerted. Not to mention there's something about the stupid researchkit kits that cause the filters to clog after a crummy 10ml's.

Well I figured out that since the filters work both ways(yes you can filter reverse), that if you slide a credit card in between the plunger and finger grip to create pressure, and then duct tape the bottle to upside down position you can just sit back, relax and let gravity do it's job. It will filter itself into the syringe and you will have nice filtered fina effortless.

Bro, you don't even know how many cuss words I spared my girlfriend with this little contraption. I was just going to use it unfiltered til I used my head. . .I even tried heating and it still wasn't going through the filter worth a damn, just a few drops at a time. It still takes a few hours to filter it but hey at least you can sit back and relax.

Why go thru all the effort? Just pulverize the pellets and dissolve them. Then use a coffee filter soaked in oil to pre-filter.
I know some fina is lost but this saves me LOTS of time. I just use ba/bb and don't use kits except for hard to convert products (ie stanalone,ect). Works exceptionally well.

Here is another short cut for you,

After you have dissoved the pellets only mix in half of the oil into the dissoving solution and pellet mixture. Shake and let it seperate. If the company you ordered your kit from uses USP (pharmaceutical grade oil) there is NO NEED to filter the rest of the oil.... just put it in the final vial. Besides that the dissolving solution will sterilize all of the solutions. This way you are only filtering maybe around 50 cc of oil on a 10g kit.
