Weigh yourself in the morning....but go by the mirror not the scale.

7/11 ---> 188.5 Looks like I'm dropping weight rapidly, again. I've never been this low. I'm going to do a 12 hour refeed and see what that does for me.

Also...I am convinced that aspartame hampers my ability to get into ketosis, but when in, it doesn't affect it....sooooo I'm congratulating myself with a Diet Dr. Pepper. Woot! Woot!

So I would think I would be retaining water cause in the morning before I've drank any I'm really light. But later in the day after I've drank my 1.5 gallons or so I am heavier. Please explain..

I'm still at 230lbs give or take 2 lbs. I can't figure out what I've done wrong. I was on ckd for 10 days straight I checked if I was in keto and every time I tested I was ok.

But still no loss. Ppl keep telling me how much weight they lost by the second week but I've not lost anything.

And I'm still not back in keto after my carb up on Wed :confused:

I've had two glasses of lemonade with Aspartame i bet that might be hurting me. I have also been drinking p/w shake yesterday and today it has 4 grams per serving. I probably should cut out all carbs until I can get back in ketosis.

I have noticed I am able to bench more, and when I look in the mirror I appear to be a little bit trimmer...

Retaining it would last for days.....your body is getting rid of the water quickly.....for example...when I carb up on Sunday I retain the water for a 3 days afterwards.....it takes that long for my body to burn the carbs and the water held because of those carbs. I usually weigh about the same in the evening and the morning till about the 4th dayt I see I rapid drop in weight.
 
Anywho...I was @ 186.5 Sunday afternoon.....that was after my previous evening of pizza and beer bread.

Had a somewhat tame day yesterday, but I think for every gram of carbs I take in, I gain a gallon of water.

I was 191.5 this AM, but I expect that to come off within the next couple of days.
 
I had a carb up day on Wed and I still wasn't in keto by Friday. I cheated on Saturday cause my mom and sister were in town, I had fries, and some cheesy potatoes (with steak, shrimp and chicken).

I figured what the hell and decided I would check for ketos on Sunday evening and it showed trace amounts of ketones! I was a little shocked to say the least

Isn't that rather strange that even though I ate carbs on Saturday I was able to get into ketosis the next evening? It wasn't a lot of carbs but I figured it would be enough to keep me from ketosis.

On Saturday night I did some pretty heavy cardio I wonder if that made any kind of difference?
