:( I had developed an infection over Easter weekend and ran a course of Cipro which seemed to nearly knock it out. Then a week ago it was coming back so I've been on Keflex since last Saturday as well as a topical antibiotic ointment. This time it's not getting better. A nurse friend of mine suggested that I get a culture done for staph infection...if it's staph, I'll need different antibiotics. A friend of hers had a reduction done (same kind of incisions as my lift) and she was fighting infections for 3 months when they finally did the culture and found that it was staph. I just did some searching on google and based on what I read, I'm fairly sure my nurse friend is right on target. I have an appt. with the doc next week. The doc. had to pull a few stitches last time I was there and he said my body doesn't like the material these stitches are made of. The implants themselves seem to be doing fine, they're dropping slowly and my boobs have gotten bouncier than they were right after surgery. This Monday will be 6 weeks post-op and I'm really tired of dealing with this infection (it's painful and a nuisance since I have to keep a couple of gauze pads taped to my boob to absorb the little bit of draining that's been happening) but I am still happy that I had the surgery...I still look in the mirror and smile. :) And I still don't have to wear a bra...a tank top with a shelf bra built in is sooooo comfortable, especially when we've had days in the 90's here already!

Since I haven't been lifting regularly in the gym yet, I've found a new thing I enjoy...Pilates! The dvd I picked up at Sam's club is a great one. It's called "Pilates Conditioning for Weight Loss" with Suzanne Deason. There are 3 instructors doing the exercises at the same time, just different levels of intensity and it was filmed outside. LOL There are 31 different exercises. Suzanne gives excellent breathing and movement instructions throughout the entire DVD. If you're interested, you can preview a short sample and order it at:

My diet's been good and I haven't gained any weight. I'm finally able to sleep on my sides for most of the night again without too much discomfort. :)

Well I am glad to hear your doing fine. I really hope you cure that infection soon its bathing suit time. :D . I will look into the Pilates I could use something as back up when I work long days and can't get to the gym on time.

Haven't been seeing you around the womens board we really miss your motivaiton over here. Drop in every once and a while and say hi...

Good luck Hun

Glad to hear you are doing better MrsP! I wondered how things were with you. I hadn't heard anything since I'mnot on Elite much anymore. Take care of yourself and the girls! ;)
