Mri results

Sorry to post here. Didnt know where to post. AAS could have contributed to this injury...

Right Side ( four month old injury)

Comments:
There is a tear of the posterior belly of the deltoid muscle with irregularity of the posterior cortex of the acromion. In the right deltoid muscle, and there is a heterogenous hyperiantense T2 mass measuring 3.1 x 5.3 x 4.9 cm similar to the contralalateral shoulder, demonstrating speckled areas of hyperintense T1 signal. there is overlying subcantaneous edema.

The supraspinatus, infraspinatus, subscapularis, and teres minor muscles and tendons are normal. there is no focal tendinosis or tear. there are cystic resorptive changes and a impaction deformity in the posterolateral humeral head.

there is no subcromial subdeltoid fluid. the ac joint is normal. there is no Hill-Sachs deformity. the visualized labrum is unremarkable. the glenhumeral joint is normal.

the long head of the biceps tendon is normal.

Impression: MRI of the right shoulder without intravenous contrast

Partial tear with intramuscular hematoma of the right deltoid Correlation with possible injury of prior intramuscular injection and or weight lifting injury is advised

Left Side: (very recent injury)

In the left deltoid there is 2.4 x 3.7 x 6.3 cma heterogenous hyperiantense T2 mass in the left deltoid. similar to the contralalateral shoulder. There are speckled areas of both T1 and T2 fat suppressed sequences. there is overlying subcantaneous edema.

The supraspinatus, infraspinatus, subscapularis, and teres minor muscles and tendons are normal. there is no focal tendinosis or tear.

All input appreciated.

bro. i just got through with a serious slap repair. be sure and research your surgeons before operation. the fuckin lesbian that did mine has had a ridiculous number of do overs. id hate to see you have to go through that.
make sure the mri you have is a strong magnet. and research your surgeons. im doing pretty good now but i had to have a do over due to my biceps rupturing 3 weeks post op. just from attempting to take off my shirt carefully.

I wasnt expecting to need an operation....

usually for a partial tear they will let it heal by itself. You have to rest it! no lifting with it or anything . Try to avoid doing anything with that arm as much as possible. Remember...if it tears more then surgery may be you only option.
