whats up with the huge increase in homosexuality?

everywhere i go i see a rainbow bumpersticker
or a flag (and no im not from san fransisco)

i was reading a essay on genetics and homosexuality

it was emplying that homosexuality was MOTHER NATURES last resort at a "natural preditor" if we are born not intrested in mating with our opposite or for procreation period.

this is a very effective way to slow the population inflation


whats your take on this idea are some of our decendants doomed to homosexuality in order to stop the human race from becoming a resource eating vampire race?

well, i wouldnt say they are "doomed to homosexuality" for one,
and for another, I dont care if we have more homosexuals. Im sure the human race will survive.

I fail to see why any gene involved would remain in existence. In fact it would be heavily selected against. Do you have a link to this essay?

That isnt strictly true.

If there is a gene that makes you gay then how could it be passed on to off-spring?? In most cases it would not be passe on so it is selected against.

Also, try telling people in third world countries that they are not under selective pressure. This has led to the gene for sickle cell being common in some parts of the world due to its ability to protect against malaria. Just one example........
 
no, there was always just as many before....it's just more widely accepted these days, therefore not as many keep it in the closet...
 
something should be done about it though cause theres huge ammount of fags in every gym I go to and really they dont do jack shit then check others dudes out...thats fukin wrong they should make a seperate gym for them like gay bars you know...

So it is their fault that you are insecure?? If it bothers you find a basement gym for hardcore lifters who dont go to the gym to checkout some ass (male or female).

hmmm the only gyms I see around me is 24 hour fitness, ymc, golds gym and a gym in my junior college which blows cause they have no free weights...

why should I be leaving and looking for other gyms though if they are doing the wrong thing?

I work with somebody who has a gay son who now has a kid. But the point is, what proportion of the gay population take this route? If they cant match the proportion of straight people that have kids then they would decline in number if a gene was involved (I noticed that Crew 9 said a gene isnt involved).

sorry im from a country where gay is no accepted, in greece they just fined a tv company for showing a gay scene on tv and I think they did the right thing... you wont change my opinion no matter what

Ah gotcha. I have had Greek friends who were less than tolerant of what they considered abnormal behaviour.
 
its not even that and it did sound a little harsh the stuff I just said but there really is no good reason for it

I know a kid is not born gay, its society that has a big influence on what they wanna be...

I think it is because society is slightly more tolerant than it was in the past. Therefore people find it safe to come out.
Whatever I doubt much harm will come to you from gay people (for those who fear them). I figure if they have no effect on your life then why give a shit ;). Who are we to impose values regarding sexual orientation on others. Plus it's mostly men taking the shit for homosexuality, people fawn over women having sex it's quite the hypocracy.
Heheheh and yeah, the Spartans were quite frisky, there is a homosexual stereotype attached to Greece but no matter.

The gene wouldn't neccessarily be eliminated because gays themselves don't reproduce.....although some do artificially. I have a brother, he's straight...perhaps he carries the recessive gay gene and one of his kids will be gay or maybe one of his kids kids kids kids will be gay.
Also, sconsciuto or however you spell that...you should read some books about homo-erotic behavior in straight male sports...I bet that would really piss you off. I remember from high school a lot of athletes did a lot of things I would consider really gay behaviors with each other....but it was ok because they were tough macho meat heads. I always found that interesting....I don't think people are so all straight or all gay as they like to pretend.

I'm here, I'm queer, get used to it! :D
