Ok this is the last week of my current routine, and i have decided to start a 5x5 routine. I have read the sticky and some other posts about it, but still have a couple questions. Right now my split is like this
monday - chest delt abs
tuesday off
wedn - bi tri abs
thursday - chest/back hams
friday - delts bi's quads

so when im doing a 5x5 routine, just curious of someone could give me a good split i can use :) Also, how much rest b/w each set of 5x5, and how much rest for each set for the 3 x8-10's? And, what should the tempo be for the 5x5's? Ok, thanks alot guys :)
 
I've been doing 5x5. and I'm goin into my 5th week this week... everything has been progressing nicely... The only thing I havnt been able to go up on every week is biceps so far... I think i started too high.

I do

Mon - Chest
Tues - Back
Wed- Off
Thur - Delts, Bis, Tris
Fri - Legs

The tempo and rest.... Thats another story...
I do the 5x5's pretty quick, i go, them my partner, then me.. after 2 sets we grab some water and go back to it...
Take about a 3-5 minute break between the 5x5 excercise and the accessory work then probably a 2 min break between sets for them...

Flat bench 5x5
incline Dumbell Press2 x 10
Flat Flyes 2x8
abs :)

Tuesday - off

Wednesday - Back/Delts
Deadlift 5x5
Military Press 5x5
superset - Chin Ups/Side Laterals 2 x 8-10
superset - Barbell Row/Upright Row 2 x 8-10
superset - Dumbell Row(1 arm)/(Either Bent Raises or Front raises) 2x8

Thursday - Bis/Tris
superset - Close Grip Bench 5x5/Barbell Curl 5x5
superset - Skullcrusher 2x10/Preacher Curl 2x10
superset - Lying Extensions 2x8/Concentration Curls 2x8

Friday - Legs
Squat 5x5
Box Squat 3x3
Leg Curl 5x5
Stiff Leg Deadlift 3x3
abs


Now, as for legs, im not a bodybuilder, mainly I wan't strength, although i dont mind size :). But for my legs, I dont want any more size, just strength. Now for the barbell curls, im not sure whether to use a straight bar, or ez-bar. And wednesday, i may have too many exercises so, please criticize here :). Also lets say my 1rp bench is, 235, what should i start out with for 5x5? Thanks :)

one arm preacher curl 2x drop set till failure\
db tricep kickback 2x drop set till failure/ superset
Hey leatherface I am in my second week of 5x5 this is my routine and weights My tuesday is a killer.. This is my third week of training after being down for about 3 years. Good luck and keep pushing on

Thanks man, but my weight will be a bit different :)... so since no one has criticized my routine then i guess its alright? Then again no one really left positive feedback either! cmon people help a fellow lifter out :) thanks st8k :)
