Military presses with palms facing in!

When I normally do military press with dumbells my palms face the way I'm facing i.e at the mirror. I was wondering what effects I might get when my palms face the sides of my head, surely it must be beneficial in some way to the shoulders as when doing arnold presses the hands pass through this point.

Maybe doing the entire movement like this will give good growth.

Just wondering as I'm wanting to mix my shoulder routine up a bit but don't know whether this is gonna benefit.

shouldnt make a difference. forearm pronation or supination wont have any effect on the way your deltoids move the humerus. it may, to some degree, affect the triceps involvement in the press, but not to a noticeable extent.

the reason for this position in an arnold press is shifting leverage from lateral to anterior deltoids through the movement. it wouldnt make a difference which way your palms were facing. its basically a form/concentration thing.

i do both. one hits my lateral head harder (palms facing foward) the other more front delts (on ultra high incline bench)

for me the elbows make a big difference
elbows wide vs. elbows tucked.
