Anybody know if psyllium fiber has a negative effect on protien digestion?
I've got to be honest with you bros, I am thoroughly fucking addicted to this stuff. It makes shits so wonderful no matter what you want to eat. After a few days on it, taking a crap without it is like shitting hot sticky paste. :chomp:
 
Fiber is a veryy good thing and your body needs it bad to process all the protein we eat it makes for a bulkier stool and gives your colon to grasp keeping it from overworking and clinching down too badly. DEFINATELY a good thing, prevents many problems.

But good or bad, i also believe, don't quote me on this that fiber along with protein slows the digestion of the protein which could be good and bad, hope this helps
 
Some people mix it with their whey to slow the protein down, do I would say that it at least slows it.

I don't think so. That would make no sense.

Its actions are powerful, but not so quick it would interfer with absorbion through the intestinal wall.

I munch one every morning with my bowl of oatmeal to fight cholesteral naturally.

I take it in powder form, orange flavor. Its like a gritty tang. I take ALOT more than the reccommended dosages, like I said in the original post, I'm really fucking addicted.

That's bad though. Your body can become reliant on it.
 
I don't know about the protein digestion but I can vouche for the effects of this stuff. When I started working out I "needed' something to help me seeing that my protein consumption went up about 4x daily. A few scoops of this stuff a day makes a world of difference.
