meat + starch = bad

It is a well known fact amongst nutritionists that eating meat and starches at the same time will inhibit absorption due to:

the different enzymes needed for the meat and starch, cancelling each other out. Meat being an acidic enzyme and starch being an alkaline enzyme. Thus, the enzymes are like "aaah! Im not working with him, im outta here!" and the food is poorly broken down, thus poorly absorbed.

I tend to stick pretty close to this, as well as drinking 10 - 15 minutes before eating to not dilute digestive juices.

What do you all think? Have any contradicting info?

Give me a day or so to find some good sources to explain better in depth and to give some solidity.

It is hard to eat meats without starches, but it just involves more careful planning. When I apply this, I will eat a good amount of starchy stuff, like bread and peanut butter(not starch, but an alkaline enzyme needed) and what not, wait an hour and a half or so, and then eat meat.

Sometimes, fats can be added to make a meat and vegetable meal(veggies aren't starch, btw) more caloric. Say 250 calories worth of meat or so, with enough veggies to hit around 100, with good fats, is pretty close to 500. not bad. That tuna in the foil packet, 3.5 servings, hits at 360 calories. Add some veggies/fruit with that....

This is extreme nutrition, and I don't think it is absolutely necessary for good growth, due to all of these bulkers eating tons of meat with tons of starch and getting big.

But, along with talking with nutritionists and reading about it, I have actually seen a few cheap looking bodybuilding "secrets", which you had to pay for online, use it. I was surprised at that. They used the enzyme secret as a preview to the information.

There are times when I try to apply this concept, but sometimes it is just too inconvenient. If I can, I will. If not, oh well.

This sounds similar to theories fronted by Harvey and Marilyn Diamond (Pretty sure I have the right names).
