A white Bengal tiger has mauled world famous magician Roy Horn - of the illusionist duo Siegfried and Roy - during a performance in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Authorities say Horn was hospitalized in critical condition following the attack late Friday during Siegfried and Roy's live show at the Mirage Hotel.

Horn was reported to be conscious and talking to paramedics in the ambulance that took him to the hospital, where he underwent emergency surgery.

Eyewitnesses said Horn the dark-haired member of the German-born pair was alone on stage with the seven-year old male tiger, when it suddenly lunged for his throat and dragged the 59-year-old magician off stage. The animal has been quarantined.

Siegfried and Roy have worked together since 1957. Their trademark magic show highlights acts including rare white Bengal tigers and other endangered breeds of wild cats.

Hence, the importance including ones' sexual orientation in said article.
