I am tired of dicking around...I need to know if mac n' cheese is bad....

I put one of those bigger cans of Tuna in it..Is this bad for you...are there too many carbs, I eat half save the other and eat it later...

Also, BLACK BEANS ARE AWESOME, is the protein complete??? The fiber is wacko. The fat is not there, and there are no carbs really other than fiber...I mean, they are magic beans or something..are the fifteen servings worth 87 cents..

Help a man out.

Thanks.

Mac n cheese plus black beans sounds terrible.

If I had a main dish that was some sort of meat and those were 2 options for side dishes , then that would be a more complete meal.

I believe most vegetable protein do have all 9 essential amino acids (must be obtained through diet) but will probably have low amounts of 1 or 2 of them

Well the macaroni would be loaded with carbs...
The cheese would probably be sugar free but be fairly fatty. U should look for a fat/sugar free cheese

Other then that What's wrong?

i dont thihk they make mac n cheese that way..i do use fat free sliced american cheese its actually a little higher in pro than reg cheese

Mac n' cheese...serves three, I eat 1.5 then

Stats per serving (serving is about one cup)

2.5g fat
1.5g saturated
10mg Chol.
600 mg Sodium
48g Carbs
Dietary Fiber 1g
Sugars 7g
Protein 9g

It says use four tbs of butter, eww, I use one or less...i use skim milk..and I add tuna...I make this about twice a week, so I have it as a meal 4 times..

Black Beans are amazing though...

Stats per serving (serving is about 1/4 cup)

Fat 0g
Chol. 0g
Sodium 20mg
Carbs 23g
Fiber 15g
Sugar 1g
Protein 9g

To me, these are sick ass stats...I LOVE black beans to boot..but what I ask is, are these good for bulking and/or Cutting?

thanks.

The biggest concern w/ mac n cheese is the carbs....simple carbs and lots of it. Not tryin to be a smart ass but, just because u dress it up w/ tuna doesn't dismiss the fact that you're loading up on somple carbs. Here's something I've been doing lately w/ my tuna:

1 can tuna
1/4 C low sodium, fat free refried beans
1/4 low fat shredded cheddar cheese
Nuke it in a bowl, mix it, then top it off w/ some hot sauce. Friggin awesome!! Not the healthiest...I'll admit. But still a lot healthier and tastes a lot better too IMO.

you are not an ass, I am here to learn, so tear into me (did I just say that?)--also, what are simple carbs and how to identify them?

I can eat Tuna out of the can..I am NOT a picky eater at all, sour cream and green olives and a few others taste like shit, but that is because they are too strong and ruin the taste of the food..but I will try your recipe, thanks for the advice :)
