Loose skin after gyno operation

Since a lot of you guys have had gyno surgery I was wondering if the loose skin that remains will tighten up. I'm 6 months post operation but I still have a bit of loose skin. My surgeon said it will tighten up over several years. Anyone with personal experiences on this?

I do not have any personal experience but your doctor is pretty accurate.. just depends on how much skin we talking

considering these operations are done by plastic surgeons the skin should not be lose..it should be as properly done as a nose job,facelift or silicon breast implant..i don't see why your skin should sag..even in c section delivery the concentration today is how to do it with maximum skill and concealed results..i have no experience of a gyno surgery but I feel these surgeries come under the asthetic purview

I've had it done by the VA. Terrible experience, but yes the elasticity took some time to tighten.

The skin will slowly tighten up and firm as the collagen in the area re-synthetisizes. There is not much you can really do besides be patient. Your doctor was right. It'll take about a year.
