Looking to buy a treadmill....

I'm interested in buying a treadmill soon. Just a hell of a lot more convienent to do my cardio at home, rather then driving to the gym first thing in the morning on an empty stomach.

Can anyone recommend a decent quality unit that won't brake the bank? I at least want one that monitors my heartrate...don't really need all the bells and whistles that the comercial units have at gyms.

How much can I expect to pay for a decent one? What HP should I go with? I'm 230lbs FWIW. Are the Pro-Forms and good?

I'll help ya out man, I sell fitness equipment. If you want a good tread with heart rate monitoring you can expect to pay around $2000.00. Now you can them cheaper at Sears don't get me wrong, but they'll maybe last a year, espically if you are a runner. HP wise I would not recommend getting anything less than 2HP continous duty. Some good names are Precor, Pacemaster, Bodyguard, Alliance. Hope this helps!
