LOL - Nice Hang Power Clean :)

Allow me CCJ,

Makedah.........The form is pretty hurrendous. I am not a powerlifter persay and it is not yet my forte but that guy in the background needs to go back and exercise the fundamentals. For real.

I'm thinkin' that it just looks like the kid is about ready to do the splits as he performs the hang/clean. That ain't good.

Okay - so he's popping his legs open when he "catches" the weight. That did look odd to me.

What else looks odd to my untrained eye is that the motion lacks fluidity. The little triple-step before the press, for example.

I don't want to just rip the guy apart because lord knows who has a camera on ME when I'm trying a new move. I'm thinking in particular back to the day when I was testing hang snatches. Oh boy! :D But really - I'd like to know more about this "Don't."

i guess they are done from the "hang" But i cant tell from that angle (plus the guy in the foreground throws my attention) it looks like the start position is really bad. Too high above the knee, no back arch. The pull is comming from his upperbody with no power comming from his legs.

he will have no knee caps in a years time by the looks of the catch

I too was wondering about his improper form. My form probably ain't the best on cleans but I couldn't tell what all he was doing wrong.

where is the startig point on hang cleans? I have done these before, but I would start just above the knees so that I am pulling with my back and a little bit of legs. am I okay with this form?
