you just need to determine before the next "intersection" if the light remains green
for example
say you spot a hot gal at the gym
you make a move and start a conversation
after a few sentence exchange you should know what the signal will be at the next intersection

after years of experience I can skip most of the intersections that involve a stop signal with a few minutes of observation
style of dress,posture,how she moves,ornamentation she sports(i.e. jewelry) consider the setting too
I can "unclothe her" in my mind and strip away the cosmetics with my imagination as well.
I make most of my decisions without any person-to-person communication.
trouble is I know a "gem" and chicken out
