Today's leg day was crap.

Last week I smashed through 325 (5x5) easy and the rest of my leg workout was a fine.

This week I piled on 335 and hit 2 sets of 4. And those were awful heavy. I just dropped to 225 and tried to improve my form as I've had a little trouble with bringing my shoulders up first under heavy weight.

What should I do?

History:
Squats ALWAYS kill me. Exhaust me between each set. My reps are always a battle, by that I mean each and every rep is hard - not the last few.

I've got a few sore joints and was considering a week off. Current plan is to come back next week and go with 330.

Thoughts?
 
I wouldn't sweat it too much. Off days are a fact of life. If you haven't taken any time off in a while, might want to consider it now, especially if the joints are getting sore. If not, just do what you said. Come back strong next week.
