there is plenty of evidence that they are actually counter productive. you want to lift RAW and lift PROPER.. this means no wraps, straps, belts, and gloves. ever see the 20 year old kid at your gym with a belt and straps/cheats who is deadlifting 4 plates with god awful form? he is becoming WEAKER, not stronger
glove wearing is popular in franchise gyms, i would say half the guys wear them which will cause your hands, wrists, and forearms to develop weakness and imbalances.
