RoySimpson EF MOD Moderator Feb 16, 2018 #4 I guess its really up to you and the level of lifting you are at. I wear thin sole converses because I like to have my foot as close as possible to the ground when I am deadlifting and squatting.

stevesmi Head Mod Elite Moderator Feb 16, 2018 #5 I have 3 pairs of sneakers I alternate between all my activities the key is wear comfortable shoes that fit properly and if they get worn it is time to swap it out for a new pair. never wear worn shoes

muskate High End Bro Platinum Feb 16, 2018 #6 It's best to train in flat footed footwear when doing squats/deadlifts. You can either grab a cheap pair of converse by chuck taylors or get basketball shoes
