I switched to the 5X5 routine. There is no reason why I shouldn't expand right now.


Box Squats - 315 X 5 - 5 Sets

Leg Extensions - Rack X 10 - 2 Sets

Leg Curls - rack X 10 - 2 Sets

No Cardio. The rountine ran 40 minutes. Box squats felt real good and I could have went heavier and felt comfortable. :D
 
awesome work man! Box squats are tough! And way to start out slow on the 5x5, don't jump on it too soon....keep up the good work
 
looks good kid. Where the calves at? and the SLDL? well add those in next time:rolleyes: ....

BTW I did the sprint routine and added two sets of speed squats, one hamstring curl set and calf raises. I feel really solid and my legs feel absurdly strong. Thanks

Nice dude. I am not going to do any sldl until you get down here and show me how to do em' correctly. :) It's on you and I'm pumped about it. Did you find a chute? Do the full workout?
I left the calves out due to extreme soreness the last couple days. I knew you would pick that up. lol

I can't believe it either. Clint is a monster. 550, whew! Not yet, not for a while. I have to hit 250 before I can think about that. 236 now. :) Climbing! Do you use bands?
 
no chute yet, waiting for about 2-3 weeks so I get my form down and my endurance up. I did 10 x 40m and then 2 sets of speed squats with 185 ATF. Don't worry about the SLDL I'll show you them this weekend;)
 
Nice. I can't wait. I am so excited to get them into my routine. I don't think I am going to be resembling a basketball player too much longer!!!! lol :)
 
That seems like a lot of weight on box squats....are you sitting back, relaxing your hips, using a low enough box, and exploding up?

elitefts has a ton of good box squat info...

Yes, I could have went heavier and I felt comfortable.
