Hey everyone.. htf are ya'll doin. Damn I've been so busy lately that I've barely had the time to come here and see what's up. Some of you all know I'm on a quest to reach 160 lbs. (Nope, not taking dbol)
I tell you guys, learning how to eat right, work out, take supplements (the right shit).. all this stuff can be so f'n frustrating. I learn one thing, do it, get told I've been doing it wrong.. start something else, only to find out it should be done yet another way.. gad!!! It's been a while since I've posted.. life has gotten really busy.
I started Ninjutsu about a month ago, attend this 7 classes a week. It's on my days off that I go to the gym now. (4 days a week). I've cut cardio from my routine.. I do enuff cardio in Ninjutsu I gather.. and since I'm /trying/ to bulk, doesn't seem like a good idea to do a 20 min run at the gym.
Well lets see..
I started this journey about 4 months ago at 129 lbs. Was at 14.5 % bf.. a couple weeks ago I got measured up and now I'm at 135, 9.5% bf. I guess I gained half inch on my arms..inch on my chest.. My body is nice and hard, I guess I got good definition, but for f.sakes, I wish I could get some f'n bulk.
But I been doing shit wrong. Before a workout I been drinkin a high calorie/creatine mix. But have I really been drinking water? Nope. Only /during/ my workout. Been told that when taking creatine you need to drink lotsa water. (Well, actually you need to drink lotsa water /anyway/) So last week I actually started to drink water. Now I always got a bottle of it at my desk and I'm constantly refilling it. (If the bottle aint there, you aint drinkin it! Out of sight, out of mind)
I'm on a new workout routine.. pyramid style.. but they didn't explain to me how this shit works so I was doing it wrong. The excercises they have me doin are now 3 sets. Do 6 reps & decrease the weight. 8 reps, decrease then 10 reps - decrese. Well here I thought this was 3 sets in itself. Someone I know said that this is wrong and backwards. So now I start at 8 reps, increase the weight, come down to 6 reps, increase the weigbt and drop to 4 reps to increase it again. This being one set with no breaks. Damn it's sore but nice.
Lets see what else.. In the mornin I eat a bowl of that oatmeal. It's instant and from what i've been reading I don't know if I should be eating it anymore. I like my Tuna so I'll bring a can of that to work with fruit and veggies. Lunch is usually rice and chicken, some fruit.. I like those protein bars.. cheap and easy to snack on in between what ever else I'm trying to eat.
I just read that post by Mr.X who so generously made that Bulking guide.. going to follow it and see what happens. Someone told me I should be drinking a protein shake when i wake up in the morning.. so the last couple of days I started to do that. I just read that people do this before they go to bed too.. so I think I might start doing that myself.
Well that's about it for now.. still reaching for 160.
