bump, jenscat, you usually chime in on this type of thing....

the trick is "sometimes"

:)

"lean cuisine" is the one you make yourself bro. As a general rule, pre-packaged meals will either:

1. short change you in one way or the other (protein, sodium, fats, sugar)
2. be at least twice or three times more expensive as the same thing made by you

Obviously, as hard as we try, there are ocassions when we simply can't pack a meal, so "sometimes" is OK, when compared to having a burger or skipping a meal

One thing i've found, is if you take a meal like that, my favorite are the michelina's lean meals, but add some of them like the sweedish meetballs or chicken alfredo over a pound of broccoli then add another chicken breast or two to that. Boom, two meals with about 300 cals each. I eat 6 of those a day plus a post workout shake. It keeps that flavor which i must say is pretty good, but add some extra protien and fiber, as well as stretching the cost.

sodium is usually out of this world #1, ingredients/preservatives usually suck, portion size usually makes you feel hungry in a hour.........pass on em......plain and simple, you can do much much better for the $$

Drink lots of water if you are going to be eating that...It will help your body get rid of all that excess sodium.

Lots of sodium!!!!! if your on DBOL etc.. your BP will sky rocket. Once in a while I say is okay but never replaced it for real foods

Avoid them, but as opposed to missing a meal, yeah its much better than missing a meal so if thats all you can bring or the only thing at your finger tips its much better than not eating at all.
