He was probably our best manager ever, guiding us to the central div. championship 4 out of 5 years. But it was time for him to go, apparently the players lost respect for him and stopped listening to him.

He also took a lot of shit for walking Bonds, and the 1-9 post season record doesn't help.

I wanted this to happen so now we can hire Felipe Alou and re-sign Moises for dirt cheap. He said earlier in the season that he wants to play for his dad again. So if the Astros have ANY brains, they will hire Felipe.

do you REALLY think moises will sign for dirt cheap if we sign felipe? doubt it.

the 'stros aren't gonna' shell out the 8-10 mill a year it'll take to keep moises.

drayton holds the line on payroll...salaries are outlandish and someone needs to be firm...but i sure wish it was someone else being cheap. he's makin' a bigtime profit since enron opened.
