ladies what would you think if you got this message?

and i fully anticpate more dudes responding here than ladies...but what would you think if you got this message, from someone you really didn't know but went to ele/high school with.

"this may seem really random, and a little weird, but ever since 6th grade CCD on thru high school i've thought you were incredibly hot...i'm pretty shy so i never acted on it then or recently (saw her a few times since high school, bashfully ducked the convo though). But i just wanted to tell you that."

what would you think? that is the only message sent, not trying to stalk/haunt her...just wanted to say it.
i mean my friend did.

if you are trying to smash it at some point, avoid the whole "your hot" deal. if she really is hot, she's used to hearing it all the time and you aren't distinguishing yourself from the rest of the crowd.


3k miles away and someone you rarely speak to? gotta say it's a bit awkward.. cause what do you expect her to say in return? thanks? i'm guessing she's not going to know how to respond.

no intentions of hittin, how could i? too far away.
i just wanted her to know for some reason, but yea proly super akward and no response...luckily i'll never see her, possibly ever again.
if i died tomorrow at least i said what i felt, is my logic

i figured she was some hometown chick.. you could try to hit when you visit family and shit. not sure how often you travel back home.


i can understand the whole get it off your chest aspect, but do you really feel any better having told her? or are you just more anxious now and awkwardly checking your facebook every ten minutes to see if she wrote you back?

This is exactly what I was going to say.
 
horrible dude, you should know better at our age. needs to be reworded and throw in a harmless question or two about her so that sets up a response. the way you did it there was the initial comment and nothing more, so now if you don't get a reply you don't know how she took it as there was really nothing for her to reply to. dolt.

got laid quite a few times these last few weeks...just felt like dropping a compliement.

i'll never send her a not again and had no intentions of doing so.
i'd like it if i recieved a random note like that, so hopefully she did to.

i think its kinda sweet in a geeky, awkward kind way.

just on a side note. telling a woman she is beautiful is hundreds of time better than hawt.(just personally speaking)
 
Sounds kinda SWV to me. I'd small talk her first and then go for the close.

pretty weird. completely out of left field

telling girls they're hot without anything touching on who they are as a person usually doesn't accomplish much. most girls hate that. they enjoy the attention but definitely are not turned on by it. most at least moderately attractive girls are told they're hot multiple times a day by guys trying to approach them. i doubt they give a fuck

I'm female and I would be kind of tickled, but scared at the same time if some guy from way back when told me out of the blue I was hot vs "pretty" or "beautiful" as another lady poster said too. It's flattering that you told her you remembered her all these years, but I think she would see right through your wording that you're just shallow and want to screw her primarily. Yeah, the more aloof, safer, nicer "Hey, how you been? Remember me?" would have been better. Can't undo it now. If she grew up to be a nice sexually moral lady (unlike me : ( ) then I doubt she'll answer. If she's divorced twice, missed out on her childhood b/c she started popping out kids really young, and therefore horney and looney, then she would be dumb not to jump on you. Good luck.

i was in love one other time in my life (besides my wife). . .didn't realize it until years after it was over, so she didn't know. . .we still exchange christmas cards every year (even though she's a j00). . .anyway, a couple of years ago she got teh cancer. . .she was pretty sick. . .we e-mailed back and forth while she was going through treatment and i made up my mind that if she got REALLY SICK, i was going to go visit her and tell her about. . .just so she'd know. . .i'm not sure why. . .it just seemed like the right thing to do.

the thing that made up my mind about it was when my buddy's dad died unexpectedly. . .my buddy's mom told us that, during the viewing, a woman walked up to her and told her that she had the hugest crush on my buddy's dad when they were in high school, and when my buddy's mom was telling the story, she just had this big smile on her face. . .she said that it was the sweetest thing that anyone had said to her the whole day.

people like to hear stuff like that. . .you never know when someone is going to be having a pretty crappy day/week/month/whatever and a little gesture like that can completely change the way they feel about it and the way they remember it.

does this make any sense? does it have anything to do with your story? idfk :whatever:

oh and, i'm not a lady. . .sorry.
