Ketosis good or bad?

I have been hearing some conflicting points of view about whether ketosis is a desirable thing or not......it is obvious to me that Mr.X and CozmoKramer are big CKD believers, and it's obvious that they work, but there are numerous articles in magazines and numerous bodybuilders who are now saying that low carb dieting is good, but ketogenic dieting (less than 20 g a day) is a band thing......

I know CKD diets are supposed to spare muscle tissue, but i have always found them to be somewhat catabolic...thus, I am following the Anabolic/Metabolic Diet, which is a non-ketogenic diet.......I admit ignorance here...so i'd like to hear opinions from the experts...

I'm am not going to label diets here as good or bad. But, I'll tell you one thing: Anabolic/Matabolic is the same diet and can put some fat on you, while putting on some muscle. I don't really have a true view as to what the best diet is, but I can tell you one certain thing: CKD is catabolic (it's actually good to be in a catabolic state while on CKD, hence glucagon), but very much muscle sparing. Anecdotally, you have to do the diet right for it to work effeciently. Look at the facts of CKD:
Ketones are protein sparing
T4-T3 conversion is decreased in order to decrease muscle catabolism
Fat is burned for fuel instead of glycogen, therefore no need to burn protein for fuel
No insulin is present to increase bf%
Testonsterone levels increase
