Ketosis and metabolism question

I've read that if you take T3 it will throw you out of ketosis, and that being in a state of ketosis actualy causes the thyroid to slow down the production of T-3&4. If this is true, what effect if any, does being in ketosis have on your metabolism? Will it slow it down?

yes for the second question.
the first is based,i think,on wrong congectures.may u explain the reasons about the fact t3 throw out of keto?

Bubba, no t3 will not throw you out of ketosis. Yes Ketosis can slow down metabolism. However, if one's thyroid hormones remain constant, via synthetic thyroid hormones (t3), then you will burn more calories the deeper in ketosis you are. This is a longer explination than I care to type today, but it has to do with expelling unburned calories in the form of ketoes via urine, feces, sweat, breath etc.
