Just took 2 Lunestas (sleep aid)

I tried the benadryl route as recommended by my surgeon... it seemed okay the first night, and pretty much as effective as placebo thereafter.

I swear, I can sleep better with 50mg of ephedrine in me than any of this prescription sleep medicine stuff they have on the market.

i used to take .5 mg of xanax nightly that'd work well only thing is you build a tolerance and you have to keep increasing dosage like with anything..

I was on clonopins for quite a while, and I'd have to say they were by far the best thing for sleep... however, I was prescribed around 3mg a day, and that crap pretty much kills what little memory capacity I have and wreaks havoc on my ability to learn and comprehend.

I never found xanax very effective to me (in terms of any effect)... much less so than kpins, but there was still a noticable effect. Tolerance is always an inssue with this class of drugs, too.

it would have been a nice job, but I found something great for the summer, since I'm going to the university in the fall. =)

I've had insomnia most of my life, melatonin seriously helped regulate my sleeping pattern, which was pretty shocking, but it worked nicely. =)

Trazadone knocks me out within about 15mins. I have always had trouble sleeping. Doc perscribed Trazadone and i have no trouble sleeping anymore.

Only difference between Lunesta and Ambien is that Lunesta did studies so that it could get approved for long term use where as Ambien didnt.

Trazadone makes me feel like shit but does do the job.

On the prescribing sheets, it's meant as a short-term solution. However, docs can make their own educated calls.

Also, the newer ambien XR (CR) is supposedly more appropriate for longer-term use, but I fail to see why or how, considering it's the same chemical.

Be aware of rebound insomnia. It's a common effect once the drug is discontinued.
