Judge: Parents cant teach pagan views

bluepeter said:
Considering current events, I don't know whether that or appointed judges are worse :)

If you are a lawyer, elected judges are better. I have a very wealthy friend in South FL who will actually threaten judges "I'll run someone against you" when things are not going his way.

Amazingly, he wins a lot.

I think I will do somethng like that later on in life.

This makes me so mad. gggrrr....first off, people often have the wrong idea of the wiccan or pagan religion. Obviously, assuming about the nudity before even actually finding out for sure if that was part of his practice.

In my divorce decree it states that i have all decisions in my daughter;s religion, however, being a good parent, i chose not to force any religion upon my daughter. If she has questions, i will answer them. I will explain what i believe and why i believe it. In my opinion, i think it is good for her to be exposed to many religions, so she may have the right to chose her own path. So if her father were to talk or expose her to another religion, what could be the harm in that.

This should not be a ruling, however, perhpas the parents need to sit and talk and amongst themselves, not ban one parent from teaching their child their beliefs. Who is to say it is wrong...GGGGRRRRR. GGGGGGGGRRRRRRRRR

No its not a fight amongst the parents, they are both wiccans and want to tell their child about it, but the "judge" said that they cant do it. The parents are indeed divorcing but as a decree the judge said 'neither' can expose the child to non-mainstream religions.
Its not two parents warring, its the judge saying that since wiccans are a nonmainstream religion that they cant tell the kid about it or possibly lose custody of the child.

Not me, I've already made all the decisions for my kids.

They're going to be ninjas.
