Jc21: Creatine question.

Silent Method

Wanted to make sure you'd see my question as it was burried in a post you already responded to.

creatine worked for me really well the first time i used it....which was about 5 years ago...now it just doesnt do anything but make me retain a little water.
My question:
Jc21 if thats you in the pic (if I remember correctly it is) your clearly apparent advanced physical adaptations probably include a naturally superior phospho-creatine system. In other words your like a wild beast saturated with creatine.

Have you used creatine on steroid cycles? If so, to what extent?

you know what...that is one thing i just havent done is use creatine while on a cycle. not really sure why..i guess i usually save it till i am off. but next cycle i do i will be sure to try it.

Interesting. I'm kind of paranoid about taking creatine with gear. (I would use it at the very end of a steroid cycle) Not that I think it'll hurt anything, I just wonder if it may hamper natural creatine system adaptation.

If you do that next cycle with creatine let us know how it goes.

yeah no problem i will let you know...i really dont know much about the natural creatine in your body. my girl says the body produces creatine but i was under the impression that it didnt. anyone know for sure?

Made in the body from 3 amino acids, creatine helps support ATP refueling by helping muscles make more ATP. ATP is the energy fuel the body uses for quick, regeneration activity for short duration like weightlifting or sprinting. If you want to take a good creatine try that creatine liquid stuff. It's supposed to be the best. My second choice would be a Creatine Monohydrate. Both can be found at your friendly neighborhood GNC store.

so what you saying is the body doesnt produce its own. your body synthesizes it. and i wont go near a gnc except to check out the hot chick that works there..but i sure wont buy anything.:D

This is correct. (You get some through dietary intake as well) Training actualy stimulates an athlete to synthesize more than a non-athlete, latch on to more dietary creatine than a non-athlete, and utilize it better than a non-athlete.

My worry with gear and creatine supplementation is that durring such a period of rapid physiological adaptation, using supplemental creatine may limit this natural creatine system adaptation.

Creatine is unstable as hell. Water kills it. Some "liquid creatine" supplements try to use glycerol as a buffer between water and creatine. This does not work.

All powdered creatine supplements that are worth anything use creatine monohydrate. Contrary to what supplement advertisements for new and improved forms of supplemental creatine would have you believe, creatine monohydrate is absorbed very well in the gut. As we all knowthat when using creatine monohydrate, a simple carb source is to be used, stimulating insulin to facilitate its transport into the muscles.

i wouldnt use it for a cycle only because when i come off a cycle i want my receptors to be fresh for new Creatine and maybe ill benefit more from being off creatine for 10 or more weeks;)
