January 1st Goal Thread

Okay. I bet we all have some goals to reach before or on January 1st......

Lets post them up for constant motivation.

I'll start;

500 Deadlift
365 Barbell Incline Press
265 Standing OHP
285 Power Clean
250 Box Squat for Speed

Right now I stand 6-3 3/4 & weigh between 241-243. I want to be 255-260 by Jan. 1st.

Post em' up.

cool idea, i just wrote some of mine out yesterday.

Bench - 385
Squat - 600
deadlift - 515
strict ohp - 245
push jerk - 300
powerclean - 300
tire flip - 600lb tire for 25 consecutive flips.
clean & press and overhead walk 225 for 320 feet with 1 turn.
log 1 clean and press 225 for 20 reps
bar 1 clean and press for 20 reps
powerclean 185lb for 20 reps.
snatch 225

just a couple that come to mind.

I'm still new so my goal is still little...

I want to bench my body weight by Jan 1.

Right now my PR is 85 and I weigh 120. But I am building by leaps and bounds...the joy of just starting...

Doable?
 
i want to bench my body weight too!

plus, i want to do unassisted wide grip pull ups - even if it's just one!
 
Here are a couple of mine:

Squatting 225 for sets of 10 with perfect form (I've gone up to 275 with lousy form before, currently working hard on this)

Benching 275 for sets of 10 (right now I'm pushing 255 for 6-7 reps)

I'm around 6' 1 3/4" and 200 lbs. Would like to be 210 by the new year.

I am not training for power currently, but here are some Jan 1 goals anyways:

Flat Bench: 415
Incline Bench: 365
Dead: 500
Squat: 425
Military:275

Bodyweight:
Current 213
Goal: 220-225
 
As in my signature...
Squat 400
Bench 330
Deadlift 500
Push Press 250

By then I hope I will have hit 200 in bodyweight and be in a process of leaning up (having decided football is an unlikely option for next year given all my life's circumstances).

My OVERALL goal is a total of 1230 (400-330-500) at a lean, fast and athletic ~180 for a coefficient of ~6.83. I will be very pleased :)
 
Goals:
Weights: 190 LEAN... currently 196 as of today... could shed some fat.... gunna do some experimenting..

Incline Bench : 225 for sets of 5, currently 207.5
Bent over rows 245 for sets of 5, currently 200 but easy
Wide Grip Chins, Bodyweight + 35 for 6-8, currently bodyweight +15
Decline Dumbell Bench 115s for sets of 8, currently 105s for 6's
Finally, have my knees and joints rehabbed enough to train my legs again!

Those goals sound reasonable!!

My goals are typically in the form of measurements or bodyweight. For now, I have other priorities. . so I cannot post my goals. . this is a training forum lol.

I am starting to think this way now too. I have always loved big numbers though so I guess that why I go for the PR's.:D

bw--195lbs(in shape)
squat--450lb
bench---315lb
dl---460lb
gm-435lb
ohp--225lb
farmers--250lb--200ft
conan--550lb at least 1 turn
stones--at least 230lb to 64" platform
 
at a bodyweight of 175lb. :
power clean 225x5
squat (full, no belt) 315x5
push press 205x5

those are the main ones.
I'd also like to row 275x5 (not sayin they'll be pretty), be able to do a minimum of 15 deadhang pull ups, and I need to work on my pathetic inclines and dips.

365 ATF squat

I am also going to start more work on Oly lifts but I have no idea where I will be able to take those since I am so new to them.

I guess I am shooting for 240 by X-Mas and I am throwing a certain scale out.

Now that I think about it am pretty damn strong for being this light. :)

I weighed today, myself. 103Kg/226.6
Now that I think about it I am pretty big to be this weak!

230 around the corner!

I don`t have any goals. I KNOW that`s my problem. It IS good to have goals.

I`m just trying to get a little leaner now to bulk up again. I have an ULTIMATE goal of a bodyweight of 250-270.but that`s far away.

Not THIS Jan. 1st. lol

I missed this the first time around, so I'll add to it now.

Current body weight (as of last night at the gym) 292lb. I have been as high as 299lb.

I was wanting to get up over 300 before the end of the year, but I'm not as concerned with that anymore. Now, I'm just focusing on getting stronger from my "knees to nipples".

As far as goals:
Squat: 350lb - previous max of 290
Bench: 250lb - previous max of 200
Deadlift: 405 - previous max of 345

I had to rework my goals,not like anyone cares,but if I want to goto police foundations second year and not law and security I must get a b in gym and bulking to 200lbs would not work with that as this semester is all cardio and I am just a little off my b. and I sure as fuck wont fail the physical part when I have a 90% in the rest

For cleans? My best was 315 for a single which I did over the summer, then I stopped doing them. I just started oly lifts again within the last week or so.
 
Body Weight 250 or more
Deadlift 405 or more, I'd really like 450 and I know 405 will be easy.
Bench 315 or more, if I don't get the 315 I'll probably kill myself.
Squat 405 or more full squat
Seated OHP 200, this one will be really hard I better start training.
