It's pure BS. A casting director started the rumor back in the '80s... it became a BS rumor that wouldn't die.
The original story relied on a friend of a friend who was actually there type scenario.

my husband was told in one of his classes in med school that she has a condition know as testicular feminization, I don't know what all that involves but it is easy enough to look up.

A syndrome found in a person who has X,Y chromosomes, but who is resistant to androgens (male hormones). As a result, the individual has some or all of the physical characteristics of a female.
The syndrome is divided into two main categories: complete and incomplete. Complete testicular feminization results in someone who looks outwardly female. In the incomplete forms of testicular feminization syndrome, the degree of sexual ambiguity runs the gamut.
The syndrome is caused by various genetic mutations on the X chromosome. The mutations make a developing male baby unable to respond to androgens. (Androgens are responsible for male physical characteristics.)
If the androgen insensitivity is complete, this prevents the development of the penis and other male body parts. The child is born appearing to be a girl. The complete form occurs in as many as 1 in 20,000 live births.
Different degrees of androgen resistance can result in a wide variety of clinical outcomes. Incomplete testicular feminization can include other disorders, such as Reifenstein's syndrome (also known as Gilbert-Dreyfus syndrome or Lubs syndrome), which is associated with hypospadias, gynecomastia, and cryptorchidism. Also included in the broad category of incomplete testicular feminization is infertile male syndrome, which is sometimes due to an androgen receptor disorder.

This rumor won't die because the casting director who started it seeded the story with the "fact" that Jamie had given two interviews about it. These interviews never happened.
It's one of the few times an urban myth was tracked back to the source and the source was discredited.

Probably also fueled by the fact that she adopted a child instead of having one naturally. Who is to really say though either way if it is true, though I'll tell you if I were her I would have said something about it a long time ago if it wasn't. She has to know that people have talked about this forever.

i heard her on stern and all they could do after was comliment on how nice she was as a person and how her hubby can write actual comedy
I have met a person who has both and trust me if you did know you would swear she/he was all woman and hot(and this person was super nice)
And he/she was upfront about it when I asked(never mind how I found out but no nothing happened) but I was ok with it, he/she thought I knew.
