ISSA certificate

I had this cert, the only thing I didn't like is that it didn't go into to much depth with the info. The test was very easy. But I had it like 5 years ago so they might have changed their info in the text book.

Did you get employment or clients out of it

Dude, getting a certificate is worth it if you want to be a personal trainer because it gives you the credentials to get employed, clientele, etc. For some reason fitness centers and people don't care what a persons' physique looks like as long as that person possesses a certificate. Don't ask why it is like that. But it is worth it in the long run because it could open up doors in different arenas in fitness, which means more opportunities to make more money...

At 5 10 and 200lbs at 8% bf I'm hoping people will goes heres a PT who actually knows what he's doing. I can do the exams online so even if it ends up nog being very beneficial it would be much time or money wasted

Most of the PT's at the gym have competed and are competing. Not a average type guy nor a skinny, fat personal trainer in the gym like the old days. Anyone could say, "I'm a personal trainer" and have their clients looking like a a group of five year olds at the Zoo. Now you got to have that "CERT" to work in the facility, pay $200-300 a month for use and 20% of your take goes to the gym owner.
When that was posted about 2 years ago, PT's in the gym went from 30 PT's to about 15 with Certification. Plus the owner has PT's have their clients sign a form that if a injury happens during the course of training, the facility will not be held liable for such injury, but will fall upon the PT. The thing I really don't like about PT's, these arrogant bastards treat the gym like they own the damn place! Every piece of equipment! I stay clear of these fucks to avoid conflict and go to the gym at 5AM daily. So quiet and peaceful at that time in the morning. Maybe it's the amount of the steroids they are taking or they are just trying to impress their clients especially the women that makes them that way. I promised myself when I begin the PT course next year and after my completion and certification, that I won't evolve into a hemorrhoidal asshole.

Most PTs I have seen are then skinny fat guys that don't look like they have ever stepped foot in a gym never mind work in a gym.

I know if it was me looking for a PT I would pick the big guy because he if he looks that way then he knows what he's doing.. him doing steroids is inconsequential to me..

Also I do steroids so does that mean I shouldnt become a personal trainer
