Is what this taxi driver did criminal? (Graphic)

I'm far from batshit crazy! It's common knowledge many American are uneducated about anything BUT the U S OF A!

We have shows up here where a reporter goes down to the US and asks random citizens who their prez is and more than half don't have a clue.

Don't be so defensive, I am sure you're way smarter than the average overweight american

You think the shows aren't edited? I've seen the shows that do that. You think it benefits them to leave in I'm sure all the people who did know the answers to the questions they asked them? No. That's not entertaining.

I don't mean this personally, but anybody who just believes the majority of Americans really walk around knowing shit about our own country and others is just as stupid as any 'stereotypical American' they see on their edited segments.

Every other country is bullshitting themselves if they think I couldn't drive up to Canada and ask questions about their government and country that some of their citizens would answer incorrectly then throw all those people in to a show and pretend the whole country is ignorant.

I've met more Americans than are on those TV shows and never met one who didn't know who our president was.

I have many friends in the US and here are a few examples (my friends all differ in race, education etc). My friends in NY state had NO idea where Montreal was.
They thought it was on the west coast. Now here's the kicker, Montreal is 4 hrs DIRECTLY above where they live. Americans think everyone in Canada is french. Some of my American friends didn't know we had xmas or thanksgiving in Canada. Also, none of my American friends were able to name our Canadian Prime Minster. Not a clue, yet ask any Canadian and they know who the US prez is.

Americans are notoriously known for not having a clue what happens outside their own country. In US schools, they do not teach international geography, but in Canadian school, as early as in grade 3, we learn all about North American and the world.

Not say all Americans are clueless, but a good few are.

Do you know the capital of Canada without googling it?

I actually know nothing about our own politics. I didn't even know my premier was a woman till last month. It's not that I'm stupid. I haven't turned on a tv in years, I don't read news papers and every minute I'm not at work, or sleeping, I'm playing in the mountains. On top of that, I just don't give a fuck.

Ok. My college room mate was from Canada and she's about to start her 7th year of college...toward a bachelor's degree, something I finished in 3 years as a double major. Of course, I don't think the majority of Canadians are dumbasses like her, just like I don't think your personal stories mean the majority of Americans are dumbasses like them.

I don't know where you're getting your information, or if you're making stuff up, but U.S. schools 100% do teach international geography. I remember taking one test specifically in middle school where we had to fill in all the country names on a map of Africa and name their capitols.

And I absolutely do know the capitol of Canada. I could probably name the capitols of the majority of countries in the world without googling it.

^ Point proven, blue. I'm sure I can find many other cobra's in Canada...and if I put them all on to 1 TV show, that wouldn't mean the majority of Canadians are ignorant.

All that show means is we have a few stupid people in America, but no more stupid people here than in Canada or anywhere else.
