Hello!

Just wondering, I love these little soft candies, they´re probably jelly beans over in the USA, let me tell you the ingredients:

Sugar, Glucose Syrup, water, inverted sugar, gelatin, pectin, modified starch, dextrose, citric acid.

That´s more or less it! besides colorants and such...

Is this good for PW??? along with my whey shake? And what about regular jello?

thanx!

should work ok, try to get something with dextrose in it... dextrose will illicit a quicker insulin response/g than many other sugars as it scores a perfect 100 on the GI. Others have posted that shock tarts use dextrose... just read your labels my man.

it looks like sucrose is the primary ingredient, not great, but not bad either. The thing is it breaks down into fructose and glucose, and fructose gets stored in liver first and excess is diverted to fat stores. But if it has a high GI, then go for it. Maybe you could try popping a few during your workout in between sets and taking just your protein shake postworkout, anyways just a proposal.

Actually I have thought of this, but ihink I shouldn´t, because I am cutting and do like 15 to 20 minutes cardio after the weight session... so I think for me -» only sugar after cardio :)

i think he lives in UK or somewhere in europe and he's having trouble finding sweet tarts (i think they're called rockets in canada, and maybe they're called the same thing everywhere else except US) of all things... anyways look for smarties if they have them, or sprees, or some wine making shops have dextrose/maltodextrin for sale by the pound.
