Is this good? Need Opinions

I really need to bring out my legs! At my gym, some old school bodybuilder approached me and told me to start doing more deadlifts with extremely strict form. Not necessarily going really heavy. To concentrate on lifting the bar with my legs. Well, i tried that out last week, man were my legs soar! It had been a while that i hadn't felt them that soar or tired! Do you guys agree with this? How many of you all do this?

This is my leg routine:
5 sets of squats
reps range from 12 down to 6

Hack Squats
4 sets
Rep Range is 12 down to 8

Leg Press
4 Sets
Same Rep Range as Hack Squats

Leg Extensions
High Reps, 12 and above

Hamstrings:
Leg Curls
4 sets, 12-8 reps

Seated Leg Curls (some Hammer Maching at the gym)
4 Sets, 12-8 reps

What do you all think of my routine? I need criticism and opinions! Thanx for any help!

Thats a bucket load of volume man... shit...
My leg routine consists of
5x5 squats
3x8-10 SLDL
2 sets seated calf raises
2 sets standing calf raises

Thats it.. and my legs have been growing like mad and my weights have not plateaued yet and I increase the weight weekly

Wow

Man, maybe you got the genetics dood, but i sure don't. I mean, my legs don't look extremely crappy, but they are out of proportion. I'm thinking that when i lose about 5% more body fat, i'll loose my entire gut, making my legs look a bit more proportioned out. Does anyone think this is a good routine?

i would agree with dr bones....

and my leg routine is almost identical to his, minus the seated calves.

i would also endorse deadlifts...not the same day as legs however.

if your legs don't grow with heavy squats and deads, you're doing something else wrong.
