What do the specs in bold mean and is this a good computer for the price overall?

Game playing will suck with that but if you don't game and the computer comes with an operating system? Not a bad deal if with a monitor it's getting better. We need a little more info or a link to the computer.

Surfing the web for chicks and gear it dhould be fine.

But not gaming. How much RAM? Does it have a AGP slot b/c that graphix card is pretty lame.

If this is a used machine you can do much better at eMachines or Dell ,,, and you get support and a warranty,

I'm shocked a 2.8 mhz P4 system wouldn't come with a good video card. If that's a Pentium and not a celeron it's a decent price new.

For 'net, office, and even light to medium PS work it is over-kill. You probably won't even notice a difference unless your current machine is a Pentium II or lower. If you notice an increase in performance it's most likely due to a fresh drive and OS install.

What are you system specs now? Let me know if you want to get rid of it. I know some people who could really use a cheap computer.

good price, u can always add a video card later on. just make sure the motherboard is versatile. 512 mbs is damn good for just a net surfer , the hd, and the mhz are all top notch. just need a graphics card later on, even just for nets and whatnot, because u WILL regret it late ron if u dont have a gfx card.

all in all that is probably a decent deal. provided the computer has an AGP slot, you should be able to add a good graphics card later on, should you choose to do so.

looks good to me. just make sure it's an intel motherboard. I prefer Intel MB's over Asus, etc. Just much more reliable imho. Plus come with really cool cd-rom software and motherboard bios patches and drivers.

Also i HIGHLY suggest 1 gig. The speed increase and o/s stability increases 10-fold with that extra 512mb. I run win2k advanced server with 1 gig, and never have a problem. And my compute ris on 24/7, 365days a year.
