Is POWERLIFTING USA worth subscribing to?

I don't like most of the BB magazines out there on the newstands because most of them say the same things in every issue about diet and training. I'll buy 1 or 2 issues(like Muscle and Fitnessw/the Ed Coan Article) if it has a good article but I wouldn't want to subscribe to any of them. My area doesn't carry POWERLIFTING USA and I never seen an issue of so I was wondering if it is like the typical BB magazine or does it have new and exicting programs and tips to help get my maxes up.

Powerlifting USA I subscribed and it was the best 30 bucks I spent. Not a lot of pictures but tons of meet locations upcoming events, meet results "Workout of the Week" section and good articles.

Personally I think the mag does the job.

I quite like the magazine.....although because im australian there isnt much content (that applys to me) except for the articles.

once you get to the back there is zillions of numbers......and names (contest results)

its a bit old fashioned in the way it is printed. looks like its from the 70's

the articles are worth it. put it that way.

so yes i would buy it for the articles

i havent read a powermag.......but from what i have seen online.....its a more solid magazine with good articles (im getting a subscription in 2 weeks)

PL USA is probably one of the best weight training mags around. They have real articles instead of supplement ads disguised as articles. Plus you get meet results, the top 100 rankings, and a comprehensive list of upcoming meets.
