Is it possible to gain muscle on a low carb diet?

Like around 80 grams of carbs?
Reason I ask this is because I am SO sick of the carb choices I've been eating. I like eating high protein though. I'm considering doing higher fat and lower carbs. I'm having a hard time sticking with what I'm doing now because I hate the boring carbs.


(btw, update on me: Ive gained another 5 pounds and no fat loss. However, I'm not really concerned with the fat loss as much as the muscle gain for right now)

unless

a) you are on JUICE

b) you were previously untrained and with any diet pretty much, starting a workout routine for the 1st time will result in some LBM gain.


c) both a and b


if you were having weekly carb ups then you can pull it off.
 
most likely by lowering carbs and keeping protein high you will keep your current muscle mass... it might help you reduce bodyfat.
