Is a signature required for Priority Mail

Do you have to sign for USPS priority mail?

Unless the sender requres and pays extra for it, then no.

So if I'm not home will they leave it or will they attempt another delivery. Just like knowing what to expect.

They should leave it if there is no sig. required, it all depends if the pack fits in your box or not. If you are not home, they may leave you a note to pick up the pack at the post office or may redeliver the next day.
