I just purchased one of these, and it will be my first bench shirt, but on average, how much do you think it will increase my bench max??? Im at about 320 right now.

You aren't going to get a huge amount out of the standard blast shirt. Like LB said though, it depends on you.

My first shirt was also a standard blast, I had a 370 max raw bench and my first meet with the shirt I hit 425 with a near miss at 435. It all depends on your tricep strength I think. Good luck with it.

thats one thing about me, i got some pretty jacked triceps....Everyone keeps telling me to cut the back off or something, any ideas how todo that?

If you do that you will lose some of the support of the shirt. I have 2 shirts now. 1 of them I just cut right up the middle of the back. It is the one I use in the gym for training purposes. That makes it real easy to take on and off. The un-cut shirt I save for the meets.

I went with the standard blast shirt after buying a 2-ply because I lift in 2 different federations, APA/WPA and USAPL. Since USAPL only allows a single ply, poly I thought I would go with the baseline and go from there so if I grew out of it or blew it out or whatever I would only be out 50 bucks. I bench 330 raw and only put up 335-340 with the standard single ply. I bench 365-375 with an hphd 2-ply.

But as stated before everyone is different. Perhaps you can pull a little more out of it than I did. Good luck!
