Intolerances and allergies

Just out of curiosity how many of you have food intolerances or allergies?
I seem to keep developing more and more as the years go on, but don't know whether it is because I am becoming more and more in tune with my body and so wondered if this was also the case with other similar type people...

I'm lactose intolerant...and the more I steer away from dairy, the better I feel. And if I leave dairy alone for a while, then go back to it, the symptoms seem to be worse and more pronounced. I think it does have to do with being in tune with your body...I've really learned to pay attention to my physical responses to food. I really look at it as an indication of what's good for me internally.

I have a mild allergy towards dairy products, if I eat cheese, butter, milk, etc. my throat getd really iritated, but I LOVE milk... the longer I go without dairy the stronger the reaction, considering many foods have dairy products and you don't even take it into consideration (a sandwhich, some types of mayo, etc) I like to still drink milk in order to keep my system aware of it even though it later makes me uncomfortable, of course this is because it is a mild allergy, do not attempt with peanut allergy and bee stings :p

Wheat, legumes, chamomile, odd chemicals, e.g., propylene glycol, fragrances; mind you, intolerances, not true allergies.

All started happening in my early 30s. I can't decide whether I screwed myself up from severe stress or long term abuse of stimulants, probably some combination of the two plus genetic predisposition.

No food allergies but I am allergic to Pine Trees, Birch Trees, Grass and Dust. Pretty lame list for me. My father said it could be worse that I could be allergic to Women and Money! LOL

At least it's not just me!
I join you slat in being allergic to some pollens etc, but also lactose(intolerance), yeast (allergies), gluten (allergies), garlic (intolerance) and possibly thinking it's now also legumes (intolerance) ......oh well at least I can get my protein intake!
I do find it difficult and feel like I am being awkward when I go out for dinner or when I am staying in a hotel.

My son keeps telling me he is allergic to vegetables, but I'm not buying it. Strong taste of ginger in food does seem to give me a headache...otherwise I'm free and clear.

We should go out to eat together!

Mexican food is my only indulgence, although you have the lactose intolerance, can you take an enzyme to help you with that?

Us together probably a dinner party nightmare!!!I probably agree with you about the possible stress thing as I think my problems stem from something similar about 10years ago.

Lactase doesn't seem to help with the lactose.

Also why does all chocolate seem to have milk in it or if not soya lecithin (forgot to mention my soya intolerance lol)

I like the one from the kid about veggies
