considering that about 1/3 of americans are trying to lose weight at any given time and advice of exercise & diet has not put a dent in the situation you have to find a drug solution because self control isn't working to alleviate the mental & physical health problems obesity causes.

its still not genetic in the vast majority of cases. sure the drug will pay for itself, and in turn should drive down all the other diseases obesity leads to

but damn....its self inflicted. proper dieting sucks because its over a good time period which is what most of these people can;t deal with. its amazing people need a pill just for that


either way the lipolysis agents intrest me. sibutramine has been around for a while now and has 5-HT effects which supress appetite and nor-adregenic effects for added punch....maybe they found a more powerful leptin based drug?

lipolysis is nice but something that inhibits fat synthesis is the true holy grail that should be shot for. Once people can figure out how to trick their body into not regaining lost weight then that will put major dents in the obesity epidemic.

Here in the US a group is trying to get the FDA to recall Meridia (siburtamine) because they say the adverse effects are too strong and the benefits aren't that good.

lol...it was developed as an anti-depressant and they found out these effects by accident, what did they expect
