Injection site infected

Im 27 (5'10, 180 pounds) and have been thinking about trying some stuff out for a while. I thoroughly researched my cycle and have come up with a great training and diet routine. So I decided to stack sustanen (500mg) and deca (250mg) while also throwing in some winny pills (100caps).

Anyways I did my first injection (1cc) of deca 7 days ago in my glute. Right away I could tell the area was a bit swollen but didn't think much of it considering its the first time Ive injected. Since then Ive had some great workouts and though its still swollen, I thought it would subside in a few days. Today the entire right side of my ass is completely red, swollen, and itchy. It's literally double the normal size and rock hard.

I thought I took all the necessary precautions like showering beforehand, applying alcohol to the area, etc. But somewhere I obviously fucked up. Im tripping out at the moment and need to know whats happening. Should I pay a visit to the doctor or will anti-biotics do the trick?

Sounds more like an allergic reaction to the ester perhaps rather than an infection.

I had a similar problem when I mixed water and oil. 7 days IMO is a long time. General rule of thumb, swolen is probably OK, but Red and swolen could definately be an abscess.

If it were me I would be straight to the docs. You dont wanna have to have an infected abscess cut out it can be serious.

You can have a sterile abscess. This happens when the injection is not fully absorbed by the body. Basically there could be a small pocket where you injected.

Since you do not seem to have an infection, I recommend massaging the site for 15-20 minutes 2-3 times per day and also apply heat. A heating pad works great.

okay so i went to see the doc the other day and he said it was an allergic reaction and that benedrill would fix the problem. I did benedrill every 4 hours but it got worse.

just got back after 5 hours in the ER. the swelling covers my entire right ass almost to my knee. it is badly swollen, putting off heat, red and discolored and itchy as hell. now i have to do IV therapy for the next few days. So now my question is: once i recover from this would it be safe to continue my cycle?

Sounds like you need some new gear. If it was an allergic reaction, it could be the type of oil or the deca itself. Why would you think that you will now not be allergic to the same?

If it was an infection and your injection was clean; it sounds like some contaminated gear.

I would throw it out and start over myself. I spent over a month in the hospital over some bad gear. It was definitely not worth it to me, but to each his own.

i wish i would have seen this earlier.... same thing happened to me just recently.. you need to get some bactrim.. I would never see that dr you went to ever again too. red, swollen and hot.. that is an infection, but im no doc.

what brand of stuff are you taking.. pm if you need some help. I went through this i injected 4 times with the same gear.. it was due to the high benzyl alcohol ratio in my test. it was 300mg / ml and they put me on 200mg / ml and no problems at all..

Just go to a doctor, I don't understand why people always ask what to do. Obviously something is wrong. The advice people are giving you might help but then again they can't see it or do tests on it if need to. If you are going to take steroids do them the right way and go see a doctor if something like this happens. They can't turn you in for doing drugs anyways so take care of your body first.

I keep reading threads like this and it just amazes me that people know something is wrong and don't get themselves to a doctor.

If it's infected you will have a temp and you will feel sick, if you do antibiotics will help. But best bet is to get them from a docto. If you have insurance just tell your doctor the truth I had an infection afew years back and I got sick as hell i went to the doctor told him the deal he gave me antibiotics and within 2 days all was good in the world. He cant say shit due to doctor patient privacy act so dont worry about telling him you use

if your temp is ok dont sweat it. like other said massage and apply heat. ive had those fuckers last over two weeks, itll go away, just monitor your temp.

im going thru this right now.

I injhected into my right side tricep and is swelled up turned a little red and itchy. it gradually got better but it took 8 days.

so like an idiot what do I do, I inject into the left tricep to balance it out. now my tricep is swolen really bad, al the way down to my elbow. its red sore and itchy. ive never had it this bad before, and im really worried. I only did 1ml injections of 333mg testosterone enthanate. I don't think its a bad batch, ive used this bottle before but it was mixed with other gear and injected into a different site.
