Hello all, my name is Brett and I'm currently completing a course on Sports Nutrition. One of my assignments is to evaluate a bodybuilder's/fitness model's (male and female) diet and supplement scheduling. I've received the male side I needed, now I'm trying to get a female's perspective on it. Anyone willing to share their approach to nutrition and supplementation, it would be greatly appreciated. Just some basic info such as the percentages of protein/carbs/fats per day or meal.(whether this changes in the off-season) Secondly, the number of meals/day and caloric needs that are met along with your approach to supplement usage (competitive season or pre-season). Along with any personal views on your nutritional approach. Thank you all for your time.

Hey Brett! I'll give this a go for you.

This is for me personally - I would not suggest MY regimine for other people "in general".

Macros:
Off Season: 50/25/25 - p/c/f
Prepping for a show: 50/35/15 - p/c/f - this changes to all protein and fats the last week and a half prior to the show.

Caloric Intake:

Off Season: 5-6 meals and probably around 2500 per day. I don't really count in the off season. I focus on keeping my bodyfat down and gaining strength and size.
Prepping for a show: 5-6 meals and no more than 10x my bodyweight (unless the week before the show, then it's a little lower)

My supplements include (all year round):

Multi-vitamin/Multi-mineral
Flax oil
Evening Primrose Oil
Vitamin C
Vitamin E
Branched Chain Amino Acids
Liquid Beef Amino's
Guggulsterone - to stimulate thyroid
Ephedrine/caffeine/asprin - ECA stack for fat burning

I have definite opinions on nutrition - one being that fat is NOT the enemy. If you have more questions, please don't hesitate to ask.

Tami, thanks so much this is perfect info for me, I appreciate it!! I just wanted to check when you're prepping for a show is the 10x your body weight you mentioned your total calories? If not, what caloric range are you shooting for pre-contest? And this is a question more for me personally, have you ever had any side effects with the ECA supplementation? Again, thanks much!!
