Increasing Cal intake fast??

I am doing this for my bulk, however i am not increasing the amount of cals per week in small increments...i kinda just added alot at once. Will this have detrimental effects in terms of fat gains or will it just be minimal.

Btw, i am new here so HULLO! :)

First, hello :) and welcome.

Second, the fat gains will come if you increased caloric intake too much; I suggest you look at my bulking basics 1,2,3 and look over the caloric bulk cycling where you cycle your calories on your bulking diet to keep your body out of the fat-gain homeostasis.

Slowly increase calories until the fat gain starts to come too quickly. Track your KCal and macrionutrients as well as your weight and BF. You can then come up with a good bulking formula for your metabolism.

take your weight x 10 = your BMR

take your BMR x 0.10 = calories you can add per week

Damnit, i have been on my bulk for a week and half now and have increased my cals by quite a bit around 3000 + cals from 2600 cals. I do feel thicker, but i thought that perhaps it was just water because of my increased sodium and h2o intake. Should i stop what i am doing and cut the fat that i have just gained or go on?

I really need help with this.
