I find that less is far more. I watched just a simple X rated movie on cable last night with my girlfriend and because there was a story and more to the imagination I found it did a lot more for me than just watching some XXX slut get banged with the same scenarios over and over again. She liked it a lot more too - which resulted in an amazing night afterwards .

Kind of like watching the Victoria's Secret models - the lingerie gives you far more to work with imagination wise than if they were just walking around naked.

Well even though you're talking about a specififc genre (porn) which intrinsic properties have never been about establishing character arches, nor drama. I think you've just come to appreciate the power of suspense and anticipation (Hitchcock was THE master) Classic second-act stuff.

Having said that, I don't think the porn industry is big on plot, (nor will it ever be a prime consideration when making porn)that's just the nature of the beast.
