I just have to rant to someone who will understand! I went through the holidays still gettin my workouts in but not as much since we were so busy. Well then I got the darn flu and now that has turned into pnemonia. I'm so bummed about the time I'm missing and how much time it will take to get back to where I was. My eating has stunk because I don't find to much appealing and the stuff that I do is not really healthy. UGHHHHHH all the hard work and to be out this long. Not to mention they have me on steriods (not anabolic) to I'm really bloated from that!

Thanks for listening......sometimes you just have to get it out some way!:rolleyes:
 
gymgirl - sometimes you build more muscle when you do not work out at all - I swear - as long as you kept your calories high - you are fine, trust me -:)
 
That sucks sweetie. :( Sorry you are so sick - I know it is frustrating. Try not to get down about it, as hard as that is. Focus on doing what you can to recover, then you'll be back in the gym with a VENGENCE! :)
 
Sorry to hear you're sick......enoy the rest, when you do get back to the gym after the R&R you will be ready to hit it hard!
 
Awwwww. I'm sorry to hear that you're not well. But don't feel bad for not being in the gym or sticking to your diet. You need to rest and baby your body right now. You'll be back to your normal routine soon-- but for now just take care of yourself cookie! I'm sorry you're feeling bloated and bummed out though.
 
I've been in a motivation slump since after my brother's wedding due to dragging response on my contract work, shitty weather & living in a place where I don't know anyone. Now that the contract work is picking up, I have a 6 day trip back south. And I'm not as svelte as I used to be, thus not wanting to wear my little slut outfits to the clubs I used to frequent. And I doubt I can drop 20 lbs in 4 days. The saving grace is that I can go get a fake tan (mystic tan) & the weather will be cool enough that the "locals" don't go to the beach & wear skimpy clothing.

Dammit, 2 months baby, just 2 months & I'm back in the saddle again!

Yea the holidays get in the way of your routine sometimes. But I guess you need to keep in mind the good things that also come w/ the holidays. I spent the first Christmas w/ my family in the same state in at least 10 yrs. My little bro got married & my other brother is expecting his 2nd kid any day now. And I can drive up & see the new one on a moment's notice. This is something I haven't been able to do any other time in the last 18 yrs.

Thanks guys....I guess your right...I need to focus on myself right now ans not the gym. But as you guys know...when it is your lifestlye it is sooo hard not to. Good news is that the pnemonia is starting to break up so I take that as positive. Thanks for all the positive feedback....you made me smile and that is just what I needed today!!!
 
I'm just beginning to make this my lifestyle, but I would feel bad also if I couldn't do it for a while. Just take care of yourself...you don't want to relapse.

I hope you get back on feet soon!
 
Oh man, last year at this time, I was getting a penicillin shot on my glute! And a couple of months after that, I could not stand up straight after the emergency flu shot I had in the other cheek. I was just thinking how my ass hurt last year. I was sick a lot last year. I had to take anti-fungals from all the penicillin, too. I hope you get over this. Are you taking extra vitamin c??

Well....went to the gym and still can't do to much....I'm still really congested in my lungs....it has been 17 days that I have been sick. So I just did 30 minutes on the treadmill and some abs...the weight are still killing me. Good thing is that I haven't gained any weight with all the meds I was on.
 
I'm glad you're at least up and about. Some of these bugs are nothing to mess around with. Take good care of yourself. The weights will be there when you're ready for them.
