I'm BACK from Phoenix Bike Week Ya'll Miss Me?

Just got back last night after 1100 miles. Man, I was tired I did all the driving since my wife has been having those seizures. Met Becoming for a couple shots of mescal at a mexican food restaurant he suggested. It was great tequilla. Becoming is a very cool dude pretty thick too. He lives in a cool state(not temperature wise) 20 to 25 feet tall cactus everywhere you look and the subdivisions look like the desert then you see the million dollar plus adobe houses. I totally dig the way the southwestern style of furnishing and decorating homes. I told my wife we are going to landscape our yard like that so I will never will have to mow again. :D

I had a great time as far as bikes and riding go. I met Roger Bourget and all the cool people I talk to over there. I met Jesse Roorke and Partied with Paul Yaffe at the Billet Bar. That bar was too cool when they closed down they started having burnout contest in the parking lot. A Big Dog chopper and a gsxr 1000 went at. The whole parking lot was total tire smoke.

Had a great time and not glad to be back home other than missing my kids. Did ya'll miss me?

You did too. Admit it. :D

Honestly, I didn't. I haven't been around much myself. But I did just buy my first motorcycle, a 1981 CB750C, so that's why I opened the thread.

If you're a Harley guy don't even start. I hate Harleys.

Sounds like a great time curling I wish I could have mad it down there. I am jealous that you me Bourget his bikes are sick. They had a couple of them at the easy rider custom show here in denver last weekend.

WTF are those? I probably don't like them either....unless it's got the Honda DOHC four in there (really popular engine for Choppers). Then I could forgive ya. V-twin exposed pushrod engine and you're not even speaking my language

I see motorcycles as transportation, not art or a statement (other than "I am riding a motorcycle."

Man, dude you are wrong. Motorcyles are alot more than transportation a metro bus is transportation, a geo and a hundai are transportation. A motorcyle is an extention of who you are. It should smell of individualism and freedom and taste of a the person riding it. A bourget is like the lamborgini of choppers it hauls butt, handles like a dream, sturdy, and it looks sexy. Check out their website. But if you think motorcyles are just transportation you don't get it yet.

Exactly. I mean with his attitude he should get one of those high powered mopeds to get around on. :D

I'd love to move to Phoenix.. just need to find a job there. All my job offers are in southern states..

To me, simply riding a motorcycle is so exciting and invigorating, I wouldn't care if it was the biggest piece of junk, as long as I could ride. So for me, just the fact that it has 2 wheels and an engine and is fast, is enough. The smell of individualism and freedom is the smell of gas and exhaust in my garage whenever I start her up or park her.

Maybe one day I will be more jaded and I will need more than that to get a thrill. But for now, that's enough, and I like it that way.

It was. And it was also cool that becoming is married and straight.

Becoming,

IT was great meeting ya dude. Maybe if you and the wife ever come to Texas we(me and my wife) and ya'll can float down the quadalupe river and tubes with an ice chest following close behind. It took me 17 hours to get home 9 of it in the rain.
